One of the most beautiful things about Fem Fridays is the comments you share. Sometimes they are on the article, other times they are in various social media outlets. The fact that so many of you connect with the stories about these amazing women we write about means the world.

The point of Fem Friday is not the women we write about. It is a celebration of all women who inspire, accomplish, and change things for others. It is always our hope that these stories inspire you to accomplish and change or even find hope to make it through another day. We need that right now. The comments show that these stories are doing what is intended.

The Unexpected Power

There is something that, as a writer, I did not expect from you, the reader. I did not expect your comments and your stories to have the impact it has had on me and others. This relationship is remarkable and rare. Week after week so many of you bring that wonder to the table and I am in awe.

This is something special. It is women speaking truth in powerful, moving, and honest ways. I want to empower you even more in this space.

Invitation to Write

Do you want to guest write a Fem Friday? We can make that happen. The people that write for GenX Watch are given full creative control and support by me when I wear the Editor in Chief hat. If you are a woman or a reader beyond the binary, it would be an honor to publish you.

Do you want to write about a woman that inspired you? It does not matter to me if she is a celebrity, a teacher, a friend or your grandmother! Tell the tale on your terms. What if it is not about a person, but an inspiring idea or a frustration? Reach out to me and we’ll get it out there.

Invitation to Tell Me Who to Write About

Is there a powerful woman of the 80’s or 90’s I have not written about that you wish I would write about? Tell me. I will write about her. Every Fem Friday has had countless hours of research and I walk away learning amazing things about amazing women. This will not be work for me, this will be a joy.

You can make the suggestion about women you discovered in the 80’s or the 90’s. Was it Katherine Hepburn? Did Doris Day inspire you? Jane Austin?

Tell me in the comments! You can just drop a name or give a paragraph or two as to why you want me to write about her!

Why This Matters

Because women matter. Because your voice matters and this relationship we have matters.

I look forward to your story ideas and your stories!

Who Has Been Covered?

Here is who we have written about so far. A part 2 on someone special to you could be done. Maybe there is one you missed. This is a great opportunity to bookmark it or even re read a favorite!

As you discover where we were, think about where we will go. Then tell me!
